university project 2 - 'Wedding Gift Sets'

Thought I'd share another University project with you...

This was a greetings project and I created 'Wedding Gift Sets'
for members of the Wedding party.  It has a vintage handbag theme and the
products are decorated in 1950s style illustrations.

Here is a selection of the initial drawings and the finished products...

ETSY LOVE

Here's a shop I discovered years ago on etsy.  Trixie Delicious turns old vintage plates into modern, fun artworks by decorating them with quirky imagery and words!  My fave is the seven deadly sins...

Craft Fair

Me and my friend Catherine had a  stall at a local craft fair in Ilkley in november last year.  We spent many late nights staying up stitching and painting little christmas decorations in preparation.  When the day came it was a bit of a disappointment as the stalls around us were selling such delights as porcelain dolls and tacky jewellery; not the homespun crafts and designs we were expecting.

Here are some piccys from the day...

These prints look fab in a frame too and are a bargain at just under £16 for a limited edition signed print!

Stylish Interiors

I have been collecting lovely Interiors images as inspiration for my beautiful dream home (which I plan to buy when I win the lottery).  I am currently renting so there is only so much you can do with magnolia walls!

I love these stylish arrangements of pictures and nic nacs, I have been meaning to create something similar for my dining room wall for ages, I will post pics here when I do...

ETSY LOVE

I am a big fan of the handmade marketplace that is etsy.  It's an American site featuring artists and crafters from around the world, selling their wares direct to you (so prices are really reasonable as there is no middle man).  You can create a shop on the site for free and just pay a tiny percentage when you sell an item.

As I am addicted to this site and am always discovering new shops.  I have decided to showcase some of the best of the best from etsy!

First of all is The Wheatfield.  This sells watercolour painted wordy pictures with really cute and quirky sayings, take a look...

Just gorgeous!
